CHIXIE DICKS DO IT FOR DAD!!

Two weeks from now, THE CHIXIE DICKS will reunite for One Fight Night Only .. well, actually it's an afternoon gig. C'mawnnn!! We're middle aged. We're done at three, take a nap on the couch and then cut the lawn. That's just the way it's gotta be.

Saturday, May 19th, the Dicks will kick off Rockin' For Dad, a benefit for prostate cancer research and awareness.

Those who have seen us before know what we're incapable of and are asked to spread the word in support of this worthy cause. It's an hour you'll never get back again.

We'll be playing some Dylan, Beatles, Doobies, Eagles and more.

Better bands than us will follow, so you're welcome to stick around and enjoy the whole thing.

I may be joking about this here, but rest assured we ARE rehearsing. In fact, we're getting our Dicks in a row this weekend, next week and weekend and the following week.

It's a great way to waste your afternoon and help a great need at the same time. It's our mission to make you wish you were AT a prostate exam.

Chixie Dicks R' Workin' Together Again

Preparing for a marathon benefit in aid of prostate cancer research and awareness, Woody and the Chixie Dicks are re-grouping and tightening up the act for May 19th at Bassline Station. See here for details.

These photos are from a spontaneous jam session at Sonny's Bar and Grill yesterday afternoon.

The core of the Chixie Dicks are Woody, Billy Connors (centre) and Donovan Dinelle (right).

In addition, a bass, lead guitar and keyboard player have been added for the session, with percussions to be plucked from the Bassline group of regulars.

A full rehearsal goes this afternoon and again Thursday evening. One more optional session is slated for sometime the following week. That one should be more of a planning and organizing session.

When Good Stunts Go Bad

Thursday, Eric The Intern performed Doc and Woody's Run For Cheo as listeners made online donations at chez106.com for the Doc and Woody Fund For The Operating Rooms at CHEO.

All was going well, as Doc and Woody stunts go, until.... citizens, unaware of our promotion, called the police with concerns that a patient had escaped at local hospital. It all unravelled from there.
