Thanks and Wishes

Been a while since my last entry and will probably be even longer before the next one. Between campaign, charity and the job, it's a thin spread over the past few weeks.

Big thanks to everyone who contributed to the Spirit of Christmas effort. Anonymous donations as large as $1,000 and $2,000 appeared at the 11th hour - thanks in large part to the Ottawa Citizen for boosting awareness.

Dog and Pony Sound are more than in on this with the Bobby Hull auction item. They've donated their time and services throughout December.

Ken Ross of Ross' Independant Grocer in Barrhaven has stepped up to provide groceries at cost for the food hampers required for December 23rd delivery and has vowed to be in on the ground floor for next year to provide even better assistance. God bless special folks like these.

The election campaign is going well. We're gearing down for the holiday period. We'll recharge and reload - and recommit for the stretch run. But for now, it's about family friends and loved ones all around. Of those, there are many to be sure. And, to them, a special Christmas wish.

I'd also like to thank Dan Cowley at Don Cherry's for stepping in again and raising another $700 for the Doc and Woody fund for CHEO. It's a great friendship that I highly value.

I may have time to post during my time off, periodically.. but don't count on it.

So let me just cover off by wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Look closely at the man with the beard.... you may vaguely recognize him.

Cheers!
